Project OS|OA hosted a seminar on Open Access journals on Thursday, March 9th. David Moorman, who led SSHRC’s consultation on OA last spring was a feature presenter, along with a number of scholars who have been publishing Open Access journals and engaged in policy making at the international level for several years.

Date: March 9, 2006 - 11am to 3pm Location: Williams Waters Lounge - Woodsworth Residence - 321 Bloor St. W (corner of St. George and Bloor) The goal of the seminar series is to foster discussions about the meaning, implications and impact of open access to scholarly publication and research collaboration at the University of Toronto and beyond. The sessions bring together active participants in OA as well as scholars who are interested in exploring the potential and getting involved with open access, both from a policy, philosophical and funding standpoints. The outcomes of the series is to create community of practices, ongoing discussions, and new initiatives. Topics covered: - KEY QUESTIONS AND CONCERNS FOR SCHOLARS
